Hard drive deals on ratioDB are new hard drives from amazon.com whose price per TB is at its 90-day low right now or dropped at least 5% in 7 days. Right now 15 listings meet the rules, the biggest drop is Seagate IronWolf 4 TB at −20.7% in 7 days (as of Oct 28, 2026). The list above refreshes with every new price update, every 2 hours.
What counts as a hard drive deal on ratioDB?
A listing shows up here if it is new and either sits at its 90-day low after dropping in the last 7 days or got at least 5% cheaper in 7 days. Used and renewed listings do not count, and all prices exclude shipping.
Strikethrough prices and discounts against a list price do not matter. ratioDB only compares real prices from its own price history. Of the 15 listings, 6 are at their 90-day low and 12 dropped at least 5% in 7 days.
Which hard drive deal is cheapest per TB?
Among the deals, Seagate IronWolf 4 TB is cheapest at $47.50/TB (as of Oct 28, 2026, source amazon.com). For comparison, the TB index for internal 3.5" hard drives is $36.25/TB.
The TB index is the median of the 10 cheapest new listings. A deal well below it is cheap compared with the whole market too. All hard drives by price per TB are listed under hard drives.
Is it worth waiting for a better deal?
That depends on the gap to the 90-day low. A listing at the low is as cheap as it has been in 3 months. If you do not need to buy right away, set a price alert with your target.
The TB index for internal 3.5" hard drives changed +0.4% over the last 7 days. The chart on each product type page shows the full history.
How often is the list updated?
Every 2 hours, after each price update. The last update was on Oct 28, 2026 at 1:17 PM UTC. A listing leaves the list as soon as it no longer meets the rules. More price drops are listed under SSD deals.
Hard Drive deals FAQ
Are these Amazon Lightning Deals?
No. ratioDB only looks at the price and ignores Amazon deal badges. A Lightning Deal can be missing if its price is not below the listing's own history.
Why are no used listings included?
Used and renewed prices swing more. The list only shows new listings so that a price drop is truly comparable.
How do I get deals sent to me automatically?
With the free price alert. You set a target price per TB and get an email as soon as a matching listing reaches it.
How does ratioDB calculate the price per TB?
Total price divided by capacity in TB, with 1 TB = 10^12 bytes as printed on the box. For multipacks ratioDB divides by the total capacity of all units.
How does ratioDB determine the 90-day low?
ratioDB takes the lowest price per TB of the last 90 days for the same product in the same condition. An earlier daily price only counts if it held for at least 2 days in a row, so short spikes do not distort the low.
Is the Amazon price guaranteed?
No. Amazon changes prices all the time, what counts is the price in your cart when you buy. Every row shows when ratioDB fetched the price.
