How is the SSD price index calculated?

ratioDB takes the 10 cheapest new SSDs of each type on amazon.com every day and uses their median price per TB as the index value. Price per TB is the price divided by capacity, with 1 TB equal to 10^12 bytes. Multipacks are divided by their total capacity, prices do not include shipping. The full method is on the methodology page.
